要表達送別人某物當生日禮物時
很多人會說出像標題中的句子：I gave her a watch for birthday present.
但這其實是綜合了兩種送禮句型後產生的錯誤句子
「送某人某物當…(節日)的禮物」的句型有二
一個是 give 某人 + 物 + for 節日
(注意如果是生日或結婚紀念日等個人的特殊日子必須加所有格)
比如：
若沿用上面的例句就是：
應該要改為：I gave her a watch for her birthday.
或是：I gave her a watch as a birthday present.
大家要注意兩個句型裡所使用的介系詞不同
一個是 for 節日，意思是因為這個節日(理由)而送禮物
但另一個裡面用了 as (當作…)，所以後面一定要加上 present/gift 這個名詞
由於 present/gift 是可數名詞，要記得在前面加上冠詞 a
