犯這個錯誤通常是因為大家不知道 send 這個字真正的意思
send 所指的「送」其實是「寄送；傳送」
所以除非禮物是寄送或由專人送去的，否則不能用這個字
應該要用 give (給) 這個動詞
說 He gave me a present. 才對
如果要講清楚送禮的原因，則再接 for + 節日
比如：He gave me a present for my birthday. (他送我一份生日禮物。)
或 He gave me a birthday present.
She gave her dad a watch for Christmas. (她送她父親手錶作為聖誕禮物。)
假如要指寄送禮物給某人，通常還會說清楚是以何種方式
像是：
send除了前述的「寄送」之意 (比如包裹、郵件)
也可以指「傳送」電子訊息、訊號等
例如：
