culottes [kjuˋlɑts] 本來是古時法國人穿的那種塞進靴子裡的褲子
現在女裝的culottes指的是今年(2016)很流行的七分寬褲(如圖)
skirt pants一般是統稱，可長可短
wide-leg pants 則通常是比七分寬褲長一點的褲裙，也可能只是腿部略為寬鬆但不到褲裙程度的長褲
另外有一種叫flare pants，指的則是腿的下半部有喇叭褲樣子的褲裙
還有外面看來像短裙，裡面其實是短褲的那種短褲裙則叫skorts
是裙子skirt和短褲shorts的合體字
在文法上要注意的是，以上這些說法都和所有褲子類的東西一樣，永遠要用複數
要講幾條時則必須用它的單位字pair
