今天上課到最後, 在幫同學口試時突然流鼻血啦......有點糗 :)
趕緊在鼻孔裡塞進一小截衛生紙
引來一陣關心的問候
不好意思嚇到大家啦......
既然這樣, 乾脆來學一下英文裡”流鼻血”怎麼說吧!
”我流鼻血”就是: I had a nose bleed.
如果是現在就用 I have a nose bleed.
如果看到別人的鼻子在流血(而他又不自知的話...)
就說: You have a nose bleed.
不過“have a nose bleed”是指從鼻子裡流血出來
如果一個人是鼻子有外傷而流血, 比如被抓傷或刮傷
就會說: Your nose is bleeding.
另外, “流血” 的動詞是 bleed
”血液”則是名詞 blood
注意 blood 的中間 oo 的唸法和 love 的 o 一樣
”失血”就是 lose blood
例如: He lost a lot of blood in the accident.
”捐血”是 give blood
例如: He gave blood this morning.
”血型”是 blood type 沒錯
不過西方人沒在迷信血型的
有很多人甚至不知道自己的血型
因為除非失血過多需要輸血, “血型”才派得上用場
我們就會問人家: What’s your blood type?
但得到的回答會是: (My blood type is) O positive. (O 型陽性)
而且人家可能會很疑惑你幹嘛問這個......
你可以跟他解釋:
Some people believe that your blood type is related to your personality.
(有些人相信血型和個性有關)
For example, people with blood type B are usually outgoing and eloquent.
(比如說, 血型 B 型的人通常外向, 口才好)
People with blood type O are passionate but impulsive.
( O 型的人熱情但衝動)
People with blood type A are thoughtful but prefer to keep things to themselves.
( A 型的人思考周密, 但不太喜歡和人分享心事)
