要講一個人有口臭, 在英文裡叫 have bad breath [brɛθ]
注意不能加冠詞
如果真的很臭就把 bad 改成 terrible (這就是英文可愛的地方~)
比如: He has bad breath.
My boss has terrible breath.
去除口臭含的那種小顆粒的口氣芳香劑, 叫 breath mint(s)
可以問別人: Would you like a breath mint?
(不過你自己最好先吞一顆, 免得對方以為你是在暗示他有口臭
萬一是真的, 也可避免使對方太尷尬哦~)
如果是噴霧劑那種, 叫 breath spray
清新芳香的口氣叫 fresh breath
剛刷完牙那種有點薄荷味的口氣叫 minty breath
另外還有 a breath of fresh air “一口新鮮的空氣” 這樣的說法
除了真的是字面上的意思外
有時也會用來稱讚一個人: You are such a breath of fresh air!
意思是此人和一般人很不一樣, 讓你有驚喜, 耳目一新的感覺
(比如一個很有禮貌的年輕人)
