我們一般對 wax 的理解是名詞「蠟」

不過它並不是「上蠟」的意思哦
也不是電影裡「Wax on, wax off」的意思
(出自電影「小子難纏」(The Karate Kid)，近四十年前的片子
在該電影裡有這句很有名的話，是主角的日本師父說的
不過在這句話裡的 wax 還是名詞，意思是「把蠟弄上去，把蠟弄下來」)
我們知道蠟如果是熱的時候的延展性很好
所以 wax on 是「長篇大論地說/寫……」
